01 · The assessment
Start with the Small Business Security Assessment.
One fixed-price engagement that tells you where you stand. We look at how your business actually runs: email, logins, backups, devices, the software you rely on, and the people who use it. You get a report written for an owner, not an engineer, and a prioritized fix list you can hand to your IT provider or work through with us.

- What to fix first, what’s next, and what can wait
- Answers for your cyber insurance questionnaire
03 · After the assessment
Help closing the gaps, if you want it.
- Remediation help. We work with you or your IT provider to fix what the report found. You decide how much to hand off.
- Policy writing. The short set of policies a small business actually needs: passwords and access, acceptable use, data handling, incident response. Written for your size, in plain language.
- Quarterly check-ins. A standing session each quarter to review what changed, catch new risks, and keep your insurance answers current.
Who we work with
06 · Common questions
What owners ask first.
How much does the assessment cost?
It is a fixed price, quoted on the free call once we know your size and setup. No hourly surprises.
How long does it take?
Most assessments run two to three weeks from kickoff to walkthrough. Your time commitment is a kickoff conversation, a few questions during the review, and a 30-minute walkthrough at the end.
We already have an IT company. Do we need this?
Usually, yes. Your IT provider keeps things running. An assessment is an independent look at whether those things are set up safely. Good IT providers welcome it. The report gives them a clear list to work from.
Will this help with cyber insurance?
Yes. Insurance applications ask about MFA, backups, email security, and training. The assessment answers those questions accurately and shows you what to fix if the honest answer is "no" today.
Is this going to be a scary report that tells me to buy a lot of stuff?
No. The report is a plain ranking of what matters and what does not. We do not sell hardware or software, so there is nothing for us to push.
Where do you work?
We are based on the Connecticut shoreline and serve Madison, Guilford, Branford, and the greater New Haven County area in person. Most of the work is remote, so businesses anywhere in Connecticut are welcome to get in touch.
